As Meetings Go Green, So Does Their Media

Everywhere you turn, people are working to find different ways to become more energy efficient. Demonstrating concern about the environment is not only the responsible thing to do, but it’s also appealing to customers who are committed to being green and want to support companies that are as well.  And when you can tell a customer that they can reduce their carbon footprint while saving money, everyone wins. Supply chain company Duplium has done just that with the Eco Disc.

The Eco Disc contains 50 percent less of the oil derivative called polycarbonate that is used to form a DVD and requires 50 percent less energy to produce. This environmentally friendly media consists of just one layer of polycarbonate, so it is lighter and thinner than your standard DVD too. It adds less bulk to your materials and it is less expensive to ship. Best of all, the Eco Disc is free of toxic bonder so it is completely recyclable!

The Eco Disc is strong, flexible, and plays equally well on all conventional equipment. It seems to me like it’s getting easier and easier to go green.

If you have other ideas, tips or tools to help the event industry reduce it’s carbon footprint I hope you’ll share them here.
