Hot Tip: Leveraging Twitter at Your Next Event

Corporate events and meetings are a great way to meet industry leaders, innovators and influential people. However, communicating with these new contacts after a meeting can be difficult. Twitter is a wonderful medium of communication and having your guests register their Twitter handle before an event is an easy way to communicate after an event ends.

Twitter can also raise your event’s Internet visibility. In fact, while surfing the web this week I came across an article on OhMyGov, a blog dedicated to government communication. Their article ranked the best 25 tweets written at the Nielsen Consumer 360 Conference we produced (above). With Twitter updates from ESPN, Facebook, Time Warner and Kraft there was a lot of great material to choose from!

Have you seen Twitter used well at an event? If so, leave a comment and let me know how it went!
