Spotlight on Success: Les Miserables

The awe-inspiring feeling that someone gets when they witness a breathtaking event in person is the reason I love my career. Often in my work (and on this blog) I speak about the power of face to face interaction in corporate meetings and events. But another industry that conveys emotion through lighting, staging, music and human interaction is theater!

Ten years ago my wife and I took a trip across the pond to visit my son as he studied abroad in London. During our stay we had the privilege to view Les Miserables in London’s Great Palace Theater. A concert showcasing Les Miserables’ 25th anniversary last fall has been airing on cable lately and has jogged my memory of the wonderful experience (below)!

Whether it’s through theater, live music or corporate event production; there is no substitute for viewing a live event in the flesh!
