Award Ceremony Success: Keep it Moving

Award ceremonies are a fantastic aspect of corporate event and meeting production. They also serve as an incredible incentive to get people together. Recognizing team and individual achievements are amplified tenfold when it takes place in front of co-workers and peers! However, a poorly orchestrated award ceremony can negate all of the positives.

The best award ceremonies never test the audience’s patience. Awards should be meaningful; give a proper amount of recognition but remain conscious of the total time devoted to the awards. The best award ceremony will have a pace and feel as if it is always moving forward.

My tip; try breaking your next award ceremony into two parts. During the first portion, give out 2/3 of the awards and then break for a meal. After your done eating handout the most significant 1/3 of the awards, this will create a rhythm for your awards ceremony without exhausting your audience!
