HEADSET
Communication and Motivation Ideas for today’s audiences
STAND OUT
One of Esprit's "showcase" events for 20 years has been the Nielsen Consumer 360 Conference, attended by both their media (watch) and consumer package goods (buy) clients. The theme of the conference was "Stand Out", and we were challenged to make Nielsen's presentations stand out as much as their measurement and information insights do for their clients.

The Stream Team
For more than 90 years, Nielsen has been collecting and reporting on media information, so reaching out into the new media landscape was a natural extension for the Nielsen Consumer 360 Conference. We set up a "Stream Team" to produce live and recorded video for the conference, and for a seamless presentation streaming onto the web. This was staffed with an assortment of broadcast-TV veterans, from the folks managing the video studio and running the equipment, to the "on-air" talent kept camera-ready by a pro makeup artist. POSTCARD
Healthy Meetings
The host hotel for this year's Nielsen Consumer 360 Conference was the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort in the mountains on the north side of Phoenix. The "Earth friendly resort" spa concept of the hotel found its way into many of the event menu options. Certainly, more people these days are conscious about how they treat their bodies, both in what they eat and how they exercise, and the hotel provided features addressing both.
During the first morning, a "Green Coffee Break" was featured which included "Shredded Zucchini Pancakes with Chevril Sauce", "Pistachio Macaroon with Tropical Ganache", and "English Cucumber Tea Sandwiches with Creme Fraiche". One of my favorite things was another break that included "Fruit Sushi" made of cantaloupe, pineapple, and other fresh fruits crafted into healthy, and entertaining, snack options. Of course, it's the details that make successful meetings come together, and by showing the clients that we care about their health it creates a closer connection with a sense of belonging and trust.
Sincerely,
Ron Springer
